Early Intervening Services and Responsiveness to Intervention:

Research and Practice Implications for School Psychologists

IDEA 2004 allows States greater flexibility in the procedures they use to identify specific learning disabilities. A student’s response to scientifically-based intervention may now be incorporated into the evaluation procedures. The special session presented by the researchers from the National Research Center on Learning Disabilities (NRCLD) will describe early intervening services and responsiveness to intervention approaches and provides participants with the latest information on the research, work and resources of the Center.
